Sadovsky & Ellis, PLLC is a San Antonio-based law firm founded by attorneys Jon B. Ellis and Gable M. Sadovsky, representing clients across South Texas in personal injury, criminal defense, real estate, eminent domain, commercial vehicle citation, and outside counsel business matters.
Jon B. Ellis is the firm’s lead attorney for eminent domain and condemnation and its lead personal injury attorney. He represents Texas landowners only, never condemning authorities, when CPS Energy, AEP Texas, pipeline companies, TxDOT, or a city or water utility seeks an easement or a taking across their property. That work runs from the Public Utility Commission routing case, through the bona fide offer and the special commissioners’ hearing, to a jury trial on compensation in the county where the land sits. Jon currently represents landowners on the Howard–Solstice 765 kV transmission line and other CPS Energy projects in Bexar and the surrounding counties.
On the injury side, the majority of Jon’s practice involves both motor vehicle and trucking accidents. Jon has experience taking a case from the day of the accident all the way through the pre-suit litigation process, into litigation, and eventually to a jury verdict.
Having handled hundreds of claims, Jon is adept at navigating the administrative portions of establishing claims and proving liability to the at-fault insurance carriers.
Most importantly, Jon believes in communicating efficiently with his clients. More often than not, clients simply want the process explained and want an attorney that will address their concerns. Jon devotes much of his time to client communication.
Gable M. Sadovsky is a founding partner of Sadovsky & Ellis, PLLC. His practice centers on criminal defense, on representing property owners and investors in real estate transactions, and on advising and representing business clients. He also works alongside Jon Ellis on the firm’s eminent domain and condemnation matters.
Gable has been a licensed attorney since 2007, when he was admitted to practice in Indiana, and he has been licensed in Texas since 2012. He is also a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2009. That registration is separate from a state law license: it requires a scientific or technical background and a federal examination of its own.
